Information Sharing & Disclosure
Communication Power will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.
Communication Power may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:
- We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of Communication Power to provide a product or service to you. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.).
- We are required to disclose any or all information to the extent necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, subpoenas, court orders, legal process served on Communication Power or in legal proceedings where Communication Power believes such information is relevant or believes in good faith that its disclosure is required by law.
Communications from the Web Site
If you wish to subscribe to our email newsletter, we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you may opt-out of receiving it by following the instructions included in each newsletter.
When you use our Tell a Friend feature: The e-mail address information you provide to us when you use the 'Tell a Friend feature' is used only to customize your greeting with your name and your recipient's name, and to deliver email notifications to you and your recipient. Communication Power will not add this e-mail address information to any mailing lists.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better understand what email newsletter content our subscribers like. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the actions of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages or HTML emails and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers' personally identifiable information.
